The gc.ca corpus, consisting of English and French documents from Government of Canada websites, is now included with Portage. Portage is a statistical machine learning–based translation platform that improves its accuracy the more it is used. It relies on pre-existing bodies of documents produced by professional translators, combined with statistical probability matching, to generate draft translations. Terminotix offers Portage integrations with LogiTerm, MS Word, SDL Trados Studio, and through a SOAP-type Web Service API that can be integrated into any application.
The Portage platform was developed by the National Research Council of Canada. In international competitions, Portage has ranked among the very best multiple times. To request a free 30-day trial or to learn more about Portage, contact us at [sales@terminotix.com](mailto:sales@terminotix.com) or download the Portage factsheet.

Terminotix is internationally renowned as the leader in document alignment technology, and the Align Text Portions function in LogiTerm is a great example of this expertise. This feature enables you to create bitexts without needing complete documents! If you find text portions in two languages (in Outlook, on the Internet, or in any document) that you’d like to convert into a bitext, simply go to the Bitexts menu and select Align Text Portions. Once the window opens, drag and drop the text portions you want to align — and that’s it! Once the bitext is created, you can use the Join to an existing bitext option in the same window to add more text portions. You can therefore build a bitext made up of key excerpts that will be useful in all your translations.
