5.8 now available

Version 5.8 offers a number of new functions:

  • The LogiTrans Matches tool now allows you to: LogiTrans permet maintenant de :
    • automatically apply your translation of a recurring segment throughout a document;
    • drag and drop or use keyboard shortcuts to transfer reference notes and hyperlinks into the Translation cell;
    • transfer the local formatting of a segment into the Translation cell; and
    • transfer a full original sentence into the Translation cell using the right mouse button.

  • You can now convert LT.xml files to TMX format. The advantage of converting a LT.xml file to a TMX file rather than a bitext after translation is that there is no risk of misalignment. All segments will have been locked during translation, just like in a traditional translation memory program.

  • BridgeTerm Pro (single-user licence), Terminotix’s translation request management solution, is now available for free in the Tools menu.

  • LogiTerm now offers XLIFF file support in pretranslation.

  • The display issue with XML-type bitexts in some web browsers has been fixed.

  • A new alignment engine accurately matches files even when they don’t have similar names. This new engine works by analyzing the contents of files.

  • Comments in MS Word documents can now be aligned.

  • Comments in MS Word documents can now be aligned.

  • New fields allow for the easy inclusion or exclusion of folders from a folder tree.

  • Language markers can now be applied to folders.

  • A new option allows the user to isolate a specific language marker in the file name if it contains more than one marker.

  • An option allowing the user to force the pairing of files with the same file extensions is now available. It allows the user to avoid pairing a source Word document and a target PDF document if a target Word document exists, for example.

  • The display issue with XML-type bitexts in some web browsers has been fixed.
