Project analysis in 
: What’s it for?
Do you receive huge translation projects in multiple documents, or a single document divided into chapters? If so, there’s an easy way to make the most of your LogiTerm matches.
When you open the LogiTrans wizard, you’ll see two options: Pretranslation and Project Analysis. Project analysis lets you process multiple documents at once or manage one large document divided into multiple chapters. It will tell you which document or chapter contains the most segments that are repeated in the project.
Here’s how to put it to use:
- Start by translating the document with the best payoff, that is, the document that contains the most segments that are repeated. Then, translate the document with the second-best payoff, and so on. Once you’re finished translating the first document, create a bitext and use it as a reference file for the rest of your project, saving you time and money.
- Start by translating repeated sentences across the whole project and apply standardized translations to all repeated sentences in each document. Ideally, you would translate the repeated sentences first, then move on to the rest of the text in the project.
